  1. The piece of art is a French 16th century cup on high foot with the royal arms of France crowned.

    It was made circa 1540/1560

    Probably in the Paris reigon.

    It is 13.6 x 15.4 cm in height and length. It is made of lead-glazed fine earthenware. It is part of the French Renaissance Ceramics Tour.

  3. My theme is Abstraction.

    Abstraction came to bein the early 1900's and is still an accepted art theme.

    Abstraction originated in Europe and then moved to America in 1913.

    This type of art does not focus on making things look realistic. It more focuses on the "beaty is in the eye of the beholder" approach. The art is also unique because everyone sees something different in the piece.

  4. The Khmers mostly like to make sculptures of hindu gods besides Buddah. And other things of the hindu pantheon and some of their incarnations becaude they were hindu as well as buddhist. They mostly like to do statues of important gods like Vishnu or Ganesh. they also like to make some of Shiva's consorts.
